Love

Do things really change?   I did change my surroundings, got a new little dog, am meeting new people, have different activities, etc., but inside all seems to be the same.  Days go by, I still have problems to solve, attitudes to moderate, I’m always the optimistic thinker, have my spiritual practice and I continue to postulate my existence and purpose and what is required by me to gain equanimity and harmony while living as a human being on this planet.

I love it that I still marvel at life!  I still become aware of the synchronicities and what I see as miracles.  I’m aware of the support I receive from the Universe and Gaya (my non-physical friends).   I’m following my intuition even more, and I like my reliance on this silent leader. I’m enjoying that I take action on the spur-of-the-moment to make myself happy.

I’m strenuously working around my home outside these days, and it amazes me that I have the stamina, albeit not for more than two hours at a time.  I thrill to my physical strength and Will to do what I am doing.  I’ve developed a connection to this house and the land around it.  It’s like I want to continue to  fulfill my dream, exhibiting my thankfulness by showing it how much I love being here.  As I polish my surroundings I am polishing myself.  It’s my gratitude for it all that is expressing itself, I think.

I try not to take anything for granted…I’m more aware of my blessings and living under Grace, and I’m also more agreeable to acceptance of the not-so-pleasant happenings in the knowledge that life has always been like this and it always works itself out, one way or another.

I am reminded of the song, “Jesus Loves Me, This I Know.”

Life is Good. Thank You, God. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, God.

You are recognized, supported and loved beyond measure.  ~Gaya

Blessed Be.  To All Be Blessed.

What keeps me keeping on keeping on?  I don’t know any other way!

It’s putting one foot in front of the other.  It’s about remembering the measure of my fear is the measure of my faith. It’s knowing my gratitude for all I have and have withstood throughout my lifetime are Blessings and Grace.

I have my heartache like everyone else.  Though I do not feel I am free to mention it, this does not make me less authentic; however, it does restrict me when in my day-to-day expressions and exposure I try so hard to be exactly who I am.

So, I sit down like this morning and write a blog. I am wrestling with something that occurs in my life from time-to-time, and it is unsettling at the very least.  As I am in my silence, I try to stay level-headed, and invariably I go to words that are calming to me.  Eckhart Tolle says “Wisdom comes with the ability to be still. Just look and just listen.  No more is needed.  Being still, looking and listening, activates the non-conceptual intelligence within you.  Let stillness direct your words and actions.”

Fears are essentially lies I am telling myself.  I have no way of knowing the future…I fear.  The NOW gives me all I can handle.  It is my choice to enjoy this NOW, and create gratitude for the NOW that I am experiencing.  It is up to me to believe that I am capable to handle anything and everything that presents to me, or that I present to myself through choices I make.  The NOW is my reality.  It is palpable if I focus on it.  I want to appreciate what I am given, not what I make up out of fear.

Acceptance is the answer to all my problems today.  When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing or situation…some fact of my life…unacceptable to me and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment.  This is my paraphrase of information I interpreted from Stillness Speaks, by Eckhart Tolle.

And finally, I receive solace from Abraham-Hicks:  “Today, no matter where I am going and no matter what I am doing, it is my dominant intent to see that which I am wanting to see.”

In my silence this morning, I have shared with you how I  keep on keeping on. I am comforted by this and I hope it is helpful to someone else when they may be wrestling with something that needs settling.

I asked for help and in writing this, I have received it.  Thank you Gaya, my non-physical friends, my guardian angels, my guides, all that is connected to me, that love and support and guide me, through my inextricable connection to that which created me, God, Universal Intelligence, Creator, whatever you choose to call it.

Blessed Be.  To All Be Blessed.

Wherever you are, are we.   ~Gaya

I’ve set up a garden here at my new digs; I continue to have lots to do around my new home and the land around it; my little foster pup, Porter, definitely has my attention; and having turned 85 a little over a month ago, I seem to be more attentive to taking better care of myself in every way, i.e., physically, mentally, spiritually and socially.

This morning the phrase ‘going above and beyond’ came into my mind.  This is what I am doing these days and I’m realizing that this is what LIFE demands of me if I’m going to keep on keeping on with interest in what I’m doing and why I’m doing it!

Take the garden:  Chicago has nothing on Deming, New Mexico, when it comes to wind!  It’s usually westerly, and these winds come with gusty force.  Thankfully, in principle, I don’t mind wind, but for growing, I had to make sure my garden is shielded from the ferocity of this wind.  I put in some beet seeds and keeping them damp till they germinate is absolutely necessary.  Also scattered wildflowers in two raised beds and around a walkway…same thing, have to keep the ground damp. I bought two tomato plants but still have them in pots…they have to grow up a bit more before they can survive the garden, I think. I have lots of hope and faith here, but it’s the effort that I must put forth!

And Porter?  Today is a vet day!  The shelter pays for the visit, but the main thing is his overall health and wellbeing.  He is turning into a wonderful companion, very smart and wanting to please.  He’s a grateful, loyal little guy.

And ME?  I’ve taken on additional responsibilities, notwithstanding the fact I am advancing in age…and so I’m much more conscious of what I owe to myself to succeed!

More than ever before I’m aware I take nothing for granted.  By the same token, I am ever conscious that I am inextricably connected to and unconditionally loved and supported by God.

The least I can do for myself is Go Above and Beyond whenever I’m doing anything.  It’s part of the pleasure of living life to the fullest.  It’s part of the contentment I feel at the end of the day when I express my gratitude for everything I have.

It’s an absolute privilege to Go Above and Beyond the best way I am able.  The Intention matters.

Blessed Be.  To All Be Blessed.  Stay Safe.  Be Well.

Today is your day … be gleeful and grateful.      ~ Gaya

Oh Happy Day!  All is well with my world!  Whatever that has been lingering on my mind is gone!  My refund was direct deposited!  I’m not aware of a care about anything in this NOW moment!  I AM SO GRATEFUL! I am conscious of some of my many Blessings and when I receive Grace.  I am not the only one.  All have Blessings, All receive Grace.  I AM HUMBLED TO MY KNEES. (And footnote, grateful I can bend my knees!)

How can one have a spiritual practice and not feel humility all of the time?  I’ve been known to say that I had a golden thread to God…and this was never stated in a pompous manner.  Quite to the contrary.  I always felt this with such gratitude and humility.  When I feel my connection, that unequivocal, total unconditional loving and supportive connection to God, I also feel the power and I marvel that I, along with countless other human beings in the world, have a consciousness which comforts me like this: I am not special, I am not a member of an elite group of spiritualists.  In fact, the way I think about this is that anyone I meet could be representative of the Holy Commune of creation blessing me with their presence.  (Like the homeless man who I gave a lift to Good Will last week.)

I am not an untouchable…I am a touchable!  I am approachable.  I do not have to  associate with ‘certain people’ who understand me.  I’ve referred to a homeless man, David, who once prayed over me and brought me to tears.  His words were no less than those of Jesus, and I felt them.

One of my best friends and I have very different spiritual views; yet, when I am sometimes impatient with our differences, I am reminded instantly that this is one of the reasons why we are friends.  Our friendship transcends our spiritual differences. My humility reminds me I cannot begin to presume my precepts are the rule for her to follow…we each live out our lives as we came to do, each to our best ability and with the knowledge we have acquired.   This is love.  This is acceptance.  This is the art of allowing without an air of superiority.  THIS IS HUMILITY.

To paraphrase Ram Dass, a recently departed renown spiritualist, ‘there is a golden light of love in every heart, no matter how opaque the container of that heart may be.’

I can never have enough generosity of heart and humility of soul. These are my personal assurances to myself.

When you ask for help it is a humble request. Your spiritual pursuits

continuously authorize satisfaction of your curiosity.     ~Gaya

Blessed Be.  To All Be Blessed.  Continue to Be Safe, Stay Well.

When I’m in a crowded place, like a grocery store, I have no attachment to any of the people milling around.  We’re all there for the same purpose, and we’re directing ourselves to the various aisles where we pick up what we need and move along until we check out.  If I can’t find something, I might ask a fellow shopper. That contact is short and purposeful.  In any case, I haven’t relied upon anyone. There are services offered like carryout, and I use them if needed.

I find it interesting, however, when I think upon ‘friendship’…how and why it begins; how it maintains and flourishes; how the connection can form into an attachment, and then, without notice the friend(s) create an agenda.   And the friendship silently shifts from one of enjoying each other’s company and mutual interests, to one of expectation favoring personal gain. Unknowingly and, perhaps, unwittingly, a person generously begins to present themselves in a ‘helpful’ manner…this could be monetarily, doing favors, just plain helpfulness, but in so doing, that person is also deepening reliance between the two of them. The recipient perceives nothing unusual other than the friendship strengthening.

Then, something happens:  The recipient does something unexpected – nothing mean or devious – but the generous friend takes it very personally, and an eruption occurs.  Apparently, the generous friend had become reliant upon the other friend for something that hadn’t been openly stated.  This is a scenario which occurred with me.

There are business relationships and friend relationships and acquaintances.  I happen to think when someone becomes ‘disappointed’ in someone else, they’ve perhaps relied too heavily upon that person.  My friendships are in my inner circle.  They are few and treasured.  Everything that is exchanged between us is from the heart, with no expectation whatsoever.   There is an open exchange of ideas, dreams and everyday drama.  There is a continuous give-and-take between us, and no one feels they owe another anything in light of the friendship.

We are responsible for our feelings and our own actions.  We are not responsible for the feelings of others. One can be easily manipulated if one does not understand and believe this.  I think true friendships are formed between hearts, and much is willing to be overlooked in the name of that friendship.

Each time we examine ourselves we deliberately expand our conscious awareness.

This is a fearless and selfless act toward greater authenticity.   ~  Gaya

Blessed Be.  To All Be Blessed.  Stay Safe.

My stance is that I am a spiritual being living in a human condition; I am inextricably connected to and unconditionally supported by God, Universe, Creator, Source Energy…take your pick. I believe I chose this continuous journey on my Forever Path, for one reason only, and that is to experience as much as possible which expands my awareness and awakens me to who I am at Essence.

Using my Free Will, I make choices that are peculiar only to me.  My response/reaction to what happens as a result of my experiences is exactly the world I continuously choose to create for my awakening.

I have a consciousness…it is what I call my Soul Self, my Higher Self, my Spirit Self.  It is the Inner Being which sustains me, nudges me, supports me, guides me…it is my Essence.

I think it is my duty to my human Self to take this Life seriously and to enjoy it to the fullest, and as I’ve learned through my many years, it is my thoughts, my attention and intention which exemplify just how seriously I am taking my Life.

I know when I am ‘in the swim of things’…I can enjoy a peaceful calm in an entire day or two…sometimes I can mistake this for tiredness, or boredom, or ‘no action’…but in thinking upon this, I believe it is PEACE.  In retrospect, Life has held such a fast-paced beat to it…a rush, a having-to-keep-up feeling, a don’t-forget-this thought, a do-I-have-enough reminder, etc.

All of a sudden I find myself musing about how things appear to be today.  I find myself wanting to connect to something far bigger than what time of the day is it, or what day is it?  I’m being drawn to a pleasantness in Life.  My attitude has more acceptance, more cum se cum sa, more que sera sera, more ob la di, ob la da.

It is my self-fulfillment, self-satisfaction, self-worth, my countenance which matters…and it matters only to me!  How I view the world and life in it, has to do with knowing what really matters.  This Forever Path I am on keeps nudging me forward.

All is in perfect timing.  My Ego would try to scramble my thoughts, but when I observe them, I can bring myself back to the Peace of God which passeth all understanding.  I am of that which created me…this is the POWER OF MY PEACE.

Everything matters only to me.

Personal solace is consciousness.   ~Gaya

Blessed Be.  Stay Well, Be Safe.

I came across an old video I had done about Love.  I stated in that video that I wasn’t sure at all how many people who said they loved me meant it.. in retrospect, did I really ‘feel’ their love?  Did I believe what they were saying?  Come to find out, today I have come to the conclusion when I feel love from others, it is the level of love I have for myself that connects us and ‘allows’ me to feel their love.

I know how I feel when I have feelings of love inside of me.  It isn’t only about loving another person, it’s about loving everything…it’s the feeling of happiness and joy I have when I’m thinking wonderful thoughts, when I’m creating something in my mind as a project, when I am feeling good about myself, when I welcome each day with enthusiasm, when something new crosses my path and I appreciate experiencing it.

Love is about gratitude and all the wondrous subjects that come up as I humbly acknowledge such Grace that envelopes me.   Love is about all the times I have ‘positive vibes’ about things around me, my general well being and contentment and satisfaction with my life.  Love is ever-present when I am NOT complaining or sad, or upset!  I know love every time I state I enjoy the PRIVILEGE OF LIVING MY LIFE and when I state I LOVE THIS TIME OF MY LIFE MORE THAN ANY OTHER TIME OF MY LIFE!  Love is when I recognize beauty, sensitivity, frailty, compassion from within me.

The more awareness, the more love.

Love has nothing to do with what I want to receive of love from another.  It is the way I perceive things…as I expand my awareness, I expand my love. This truly is the broad view of the expansiveness of the entire planet and all the life on it,  and how it deserves all the love I have to give it.

All the more reason to concentrate on happy thoughts and actions.  I’m feeling very happy and loving right now.  And I’m giving myself this wonderful love right now too.  I open my doors and windows to this holy self-made joy.

We’re here, you feel us, our guidance and support, our interest in you,

our assistance, our inspiration, our inextricable connection.

Blessed Be.  Be Safe and Be Well.

I am a Wonder of the World.  We all are!

I’ve stated that I think it is good to take our own inventory.  Somehow, this suggests looking at our flaws and frailties so we can get in touch with how we judge others so harshly, which has no place in love.

I come to think now that taking my own inventory ought to be in a loving and kindly way.  Pulling out my goodness and my divinity.  Holding my head up high and proclaiming how special I Am.  Reminding myself that I’ve spent these 82+ years polishing myself up, learning so many lessons, softening my heart, and marveling in the revelation that I am a  spiritual being living in a human existence inextricably connected to, and  unconditionally loved and supported by, God, Source, Universe, Creator, since I became.

I realize I am more than a body and personality and I am stretching my limits and expanding my understanding of Higher Consciousness and Intuitive Wisdom toward more awareness and enlightenment.

I continue to rip off masks of self-deception, and thrill to newfound freedom of spirit.  It’s becoming so much easier to admit “I’ve been wrong”, “I’m trying to understand you”, “I’m listening and I’m interested in what you have to say”, “I care about you”, and above all, “I’ll take that risk!”  in Faith, to enlighten my path.

There are many times my intuition nudges me and I might not be alert enough to follow the needle on my life compass. I can no longer ignore the interconnection of everything.  Why?  Because it starts with me, and how I think; where I place my attention and intention.  I am not separate and apart from anything.  I float in the same stream with the wafting leaf.  I hear and see, as All hear and see me.  We speak the same language:  I AM HERE TOO. WE ARE ALL HERE TOGETHER. WE KNOW THINGS. I ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR PRESENCE. LET US RESPECT EACH OTHER.

Life is a trial-and-error, live-and-learn proposition. Nothing goes unnoticed by Everything that IS.

Blessed Be… To All Be Blessed.  From My Heart to Your Heart.

Kaye continues to tell her story…we enjoy her expression and resolve, as does she.    ~Gaya

I AM more than a body and a personality!  I AM a spiritual being living in a human condition, inextricably connected to, and loved and supported unconditionally by, God, Universe, Source, Creator, since I became.

It has been in this 82nd year of my life that I’ve come to know and believe with understanding the above statement….and Oh, What a Mind-Blowing Comfort It Is!

“Living” in the spiritual sense, is not personal at all.  My Essence, the Soul, the Higher Consciousness, my Higher Self,  my Intuitive Wisdom, is IT!  There is no judgment..there is “the interactive passage of energy between us”, the descriptive definition I first gave to this blog, Liferays.net, almost five years ago…but I didn’t fully understand this when I did it!

“Living” in the human sense, however, is very personal I have thoughts, my attention and intention, which become choices and actions which create my world. This is my personal power and my Higher Self is in constant communication with me, offering information and  awareness and enlightenment to the degree which I can understand it.

My heart is in direct communication with my Essence and these huge forces of nature have continuously supported my human existence toward one end:  To realize my true self.

I realize now that life is  serious personal business.  It is absolutely important that I concentrate on my human connection to my spiritual essence so I can relieve myself of all worry, anger and fear.  There is a Divine Mind in the spiritual plane which I can choose to think about.  This Divine Mind is part of me, and it is up to me to become a part of IT.

How do I go about bringing myself closer to that which created me?  I think it begins with Gratitude and  an acknowledgment of the myriad Blessings which come from a bottomless urn. This way of thinking is a state of being…it comes directly from my heart.  It feels holy.  As I continue to practice this, trying to make the connection, I get glimpses of how superficial and limiting the human existence really is.  All the labels and judgments and programming of  the mind are so inhibiting and restrictive, so fraudulent and withholding.

I become a small-minded person, and I am so far away from my spiritual essence, when I put such emphasis on the worldly things.  Take “Love” for instance.  It is an overview,  not a performance. I see it as an understanding of  ‘live and let live’ joined with the compassion of “How can I help you?”.

I am committing to devoting just one hour a week toward thinking on connecting with the Divine Mind.  Through a Wayne Dyer course I have been introduced to new reading and this will further my attention and intention to this end.  The Impersonal Self,  and The Life and Teachings of the Masters of the Far East (6 vols.).

My spiritual practice is important to me.  I already am realizing the benefits from my conscious endeavor.  In my mind’s eye, I’m a member of a spiritual team which will continue to infinitely love and support me unconditionally.  This is a Powerful Presence.

Each new Awareness presents a New Beginning.   ~Gaya

Peace, Tranquility, Equanimity, Silence, Serenity, Unflappable,  Oneness, Wholeness, Connection.  Beyond… way beyond….the Observer,  disallowing any interference.

These were the sensations I was feeling this morning during my meditation experience.  Amazing…Absolutely Amazing.  Let me tell you folks, it’s worth the wait!  It has been my intention to Practice my Spirituality.  In so doing, meditation has become a part of this practice, and I’d be the first to express it hasn’t been easy!  I’ve enlisted the aid of Deepak Chopra, Ram Dass, Echart Tolle… all of whom graciously offer their own experience selflessly.  I listen to podcasts on the subject of meditation, I join free seminars. I’m in a 21-day meditation experience with Deepak and Oprah right now.  Thankfully, I believed their promises that I would be the better for the experience…that my life would be enhanced and my awareness would increase…all toward learning the purpose of why I am here in the first place.

As I listened to Deepak’s words this morning, already in my meditation position, eyes closed, hands folded, I readied myself as usual.  When the time came to ‘begin’, I began to resonate with “I am unbounded changeless self”.   I then began to open up to being changeless and whole, and it slowly made sense that whatever was around me all of the time is that of perpetual change, and subject to all kinds of outside interference and as a human being, I respond and react to what comes to me…Yet…I then saw an aquarium in my mind’s eye, and clearly, the water beneath the surface was still…not moving, not changing…even though the surface was choppy and wavy!

I am totally grateful for this glimmer-awareness of my Essence…my unflappable Spirit.  The power and strength of this Spirit is unmistakable.  It is that which has kept me from drowning in the choppy waters!

Blessed Be my reassurance that beneath whatever upsets or dishevels me is this Spirit of  Wholeness of Being, which cannot be changed…”a bulwark never ceasing.”
